Quick Lookup is built to stay out of your business. This page sets out exactly what happens to data when you use it, in plain terms.
What we do not do
- We do not track your browsing history.
- We do not read, store or transmit the content of pages you visit.
- We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
What the extension accesses
When you choose to look up a company, the extension sends only the name or number you searched to our service, which retrieves the matching record from the official Companies House register. The web address of your current tab is read locally, in your browser, purely to suggest which company you might mean. It is not sent anywhere unless you click to look it up.
What we store
- On your device: your settings, your daily lookup count and, if you subscribe, your licence key.
- On our service, Pro subscribers only: your email address and subscription status, used solely to manage your account and billing.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Company data
Company information comes from the public Companies House register under the Open Government Licence. Quick Lookup is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Companies House or GOV.UK.
