Companies House Quick Lookup ("the extension") is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, what we do and don't collect.

What we don't do

• We do not track your browsing history.
• We do not read, store, or transmit the content of the pages you visit.
• We do not sell or share any personal data with advertisers.

What the extension accesses

When you actively choose to look up a company, the extension sends only the company name or number you searched to our service, which retrieves the matching record from the official Companies House register. The website address of the tab you're on is read locally, in your browser, only to suggest a company name. It is not sent anywhere unless you click to look it up.

What we store

• On your device: your settings and a count of your daily free lookups.
• On our service (Pro subscribers only): your email address and subscription status, solely to manage your account and billing.

Payments

Subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Companies House data

Company information is sourced from the public Companies House register under the Open Government Licence. This extension is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Companies House or GOV.UK.
